Ocean and life-inspired, Samuela Konusi Taukave, affectionately known in the creative community as Skillz FJ, hails from the breathtaking island of Rotuma, Fiji.

Since relocating to the Sunshine Coast of Australia in 2020 with his wife to welcome their son, Samuela (Jnr), Skillz has quickly become a vibrant fixture in the local music and arts scene.

A passionate music instructor, performer, and cultural advocate, Skillz now shares his gifts through weekly gigs, music workshops, and daily mentorship between Noosa and Brisbane – often posting spontaneous jam sessions on social media for his loyal global audience.

Skillz has taken the spirit of the Pacific to the world stage, performing and conducting workshops at prestigious events including:
